Ann Garcia Hoekstra
Ann, a bilingual school psychologist, has worked in public schools since 1979 with primarily Spanish speaking students in Texas, Colorado, and Illinois. After teaching first and second grades for six years, she works in Special Education evaluating and planning for children with disabilities. In addition, she assists with parent training, teacher training to address oral language and educational needs of English language learners, and consults with school teams to address learning concerns for children acquiring English.
Landin “Lannie” Battistini, Music Director, Producer, and Arranger:
Born and raised in Puerto Rico, Mr. Battistini is an accomplished producer, songwriter, composer, arranger, and pianist/keyboardist with degrees from the acclaimed Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA. Producer of over 8 Children’s albums and more than 30 CD albums for independent recording artists, he was a participant in a Grammy Award winning CD album in the 2000 Latin Pop Category. After years of producing for other artists, he debuts his own Latin Jazz CD Album “Hands in Motion”, in 2009 under his own indie label, HIMMUSIC and in 2011 he comes out with his 2nd Cd album, At the Top (En la Cima). Born in Cuba, Rosa is a native Spanish speaker who graduated from National Louis University with a Masters Degree in Education and a Certificate of Advanced Studies in Technology in Education. Her educational experience includes: Two years as a Teacher’s Assistant in CCSD #21 in Wheeling, Illinois, twenty years as a Bilingual Teacher in CCSD #21 in Wheeling, Illinois, and eight years as an Instructional Technology Specialist at Mark Twain School in CCSD# 21. Her business experience includes: Data Entry Operator at Carson Pirie Scott, Data Entry Operator at Washington National Insurance.
